Esplainly by Reel Engine

Terms of use

What you get for your money, what you may do with it, and what we are on the hook for. Nothing here takes away a right the law gives you.

What you are buying

Esplainly is made and sold by Esplainly by Reel Engine, powered by Hutytech ICT Resources Limited. Buying it, or installing it, means you agree to this page.

One payment. No subscription, no credits, no charge for each video, nothing to cancel later. You get a permanent licence to use Esplainly, and updates to Esplainly 1 are included for as long as we publish them. A future Esplainly 2 would be a separate paid upgrade, discounted for people who already own this one.

Esplainly is a Windows 10 and 11 program that runs on your own computer. There is no Mac or phone version. Use it for your own channels, for your business, and for clients you make videos for. Do not resell or pass on the licence itself. If it will not run on your PC, that is what the refund policy is for.

One computer at a time

Your licence runs on one computer at a time. That is the licence, and it is what the price is set against.

Moving to a new computer is free and takes a minute. Sign in to your dashboard, release the old one, activate the new one with the same key. No limit on how often. If a machine is lost or dead and you cannot release it yourself, email us.

To count computers, Esplainly checks in with us now and then. The privacy policy says exactly what it sends. If that check fails, because your internet is down or ours is, Esplainly keeps working.

We only stop a licence in three cases: you were refunded, your payment was reversed, or the key was published or sold on. Even then nothing is deleted and your finished videos stay yours. If your licence stops and you do not know why, email us.

Your videos are yours

Everything Esplainly makes is made on your computer. The script, the narration, the pictures and the finished MP4 never come to us. There is no upload step and no copy on any server of ours, so we could not look at your videos if we wanted to.

We claim nothing in what you make. No royalty, no revenue share, no credit, no watermark. Post it, monetise it, hand it to a client and invoice them. The music, the emoji font and the video encoder that ship with Esplainly are cleared for videos you publish and sell, and their licence texts are installed with the app.

Two things are yours rather than ours. The right to use a picture you bring in: if you did not take it and it is not clearly free to use, keep it out. And what the video says. Esplainly cannot tell whether a claim is true, so a video about health, money or the law is your statement, not ours.

Your own accounts and keys

Esplainly comes with a Windows voice that costs nothing and needs no account, so you can finish a whole video without signing up to anything. If you want more, you connect your own account: Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic for scripts, Google Cloud Text to Speech or ElevenLabs for narration. Windows keeps your keys in the Credential Manager, not our database.

You are billed by them, not by us. Those are your own accounts at their published prices. We add no margin, and we cannot see what you use or what you spend.

Only the provider you picked ever sees a script, and only when you ask it for one. Write the script yourself, or paste one in, and nothing goes anywhere.

Read what a model writes before you publish it, because they are wrong confidently and often, and listen to a synthetic voice before you render, because they mispronounce names. You are the publisher. We do not review what you make, and we have no way to.

The few things you may not do

  • Do not share, sell, rent out or publish your licence key.
  • Do not run Esplainly on more computers at once than your licence allows, and do not work around the device check.
  • Do not take Esplainly apart to defeat the licensing, although any right to decompile software that your own law gives you still stands.

Making videos is not on that list and never will be. There is no limit on how many you make or what you earn from them.

If something goes wrong

Email support@explainly.site with what you were doing and the exact wording of anything that went wrong. A person reads it. The setup guide is often faster than waiting for us.

We are responsible for Esplainly doing what this site says it does. If it does not, we will fix it or refund you. We are not responsible for what you do with the videos, for a platform taking them down, for a picture you had no right to use, or for what a service you connected with your own key charges you. Beyond the rights the law gives you, the most we can owe you is what you paid.

Keep your own backups, because your projects and videos live on your computer. If we change this page, the date at the top says when, a change never takes away something you have already paid for, and if it matters we will email you.
